Sandy Moore

2015 Haritage Classic

I started riding more than 20 years ago. At the age of 42 I was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of cancer requiring me to be hospitalized for long periods of time. When home I would sneak out on my bike just to get some sort of normalcy. Riding was risky because of my low blood counts and bleeding risks. The reward was so much bigger then the risk, my entire life had been turned upside down and my prognosis was not good. I'd ride to clear my head, to pray, to sing, to do anything to take my mind off my situation. I spent years really recovering and seemed to be riding less and less. 10 years after that diagnosis I was hit again, this time with breast cancer. More chemo and now radiation. During my treatment for that I promised myself when it was all over I would start riding again. I picked up and moved a 1000 miles away but was determined to keep that promise to myself. I put my bike in the shop and spent more on repairs/maintenance then the bike was worth but I was back on 2 wheels. The more I rode the more I wanted to ride but it was time for a new bike. Enter my first Harley a 2004 Sportster, I was so happy to have her....until I started riding more and knew the Sportster needed to be upgraded. Enter my current bike a 2015 Heritage and I love it. I now belong to a few riding groups and I am on 2 wheels more then I have ever been and I am loving life. My health is good and my soul is nourished. I am 61 years young and have no intentions of slowing down.

                          2000 SOFTTAIL DUECE

Hi, I am sassy H and I ride a 2000 softail deuce. My dad had street glide and he would put me & my sister on the back when we were little. I feel like it’s in my blood to ride. I was inspired by all the beautiful women on Instagram, when I ride, I feel confident, independent and free.

                         2021 BMW R nineT

Sixteen years ago, I began exploring motorcycles as a passenger. I didn’t enjoy the sensation of not being in control of the machine and ultimately wanted to ride my own. In 2014, I decided to take the MSF course, began riding, then bought my first bike in 2017. Since my motorcycle is my only means of transportation, I became constantly inspired by many women who encouraged me to fulfill my goals. Because of them, I evolved into an independent, badass biker babe.

In 2019, I survived a ruptured brain Aneurysm. After this life-altering incident, I spent my recovery daydreaming about adventures, road racing and constantly improving my skills. Once my Neurologist reassured me I can resume riding my motorcycle after riding together twice, I was unstoppable.

As an active participant of local motorcycle groups, road racing track organizations and brain Aneurysm support groups, I hope to be a beacon of encouragement to many riders who overcome health issues and resume achieving greatness with all passion projects. My next goals include: starting my own Aneurysm foundation and publishing a book about my recovery.

Thank You Fastrack Riders for helping me develop better form and technique on the race track since 2019. Also to BMW Motorcycles of Riverside for the opportunity to work with BMW Motorrad USA, the demo team Benchmark in Sturgis and SoCal nineT Owners Group for many rides and gatherings. Thanks to The Litas Los Angeles and San Diego for your continuous guidance and support.

More importantly, Thank You Bunnie for the opportunity to be a part of your movement. It is truly an honor to uplift many women, provide a safe place and invite them to make history happen. Let’s show the world what Southern California is all about and break a world record together.

Vixie

2008 Yamaha R6

Hello I’m Vixie
I currently own multiple
Bikes, From dirt bikes to Harley’s
But my favorite bike to ride is my oldie but goodie 08 Yamaha R6 his name is Sonic Blue.  And has over 85k miles on him but still runs like a champ

I grew up riding horses it’s a family tradition we rode before we could even walk. I love horse riding but my bikes are my Iron horses. Growing up my dad was a car mechanic and always had sport cars he taught me general mechanics and I always enjoyed being his assistant. I Took a few classes/courses in high school/college and have always had a thing for fast cars and racing. My first race was at the age of 15 and I won. I continued my passion for cars for many years until one day in 2009 I decided I wanted to learn how to ride a motorcycle. I didn’t know anyone who could teach me but I found out about the msf course and I signed myself up. Even against my families wishes they were all against me riding bikes. I did the class being the only female and the only one who didn’t even know how to turn on a bike. Yet I wanted it so bad I learned to ride that very same day. And the very next day I took the test and passed so I went to buy my first bike. I immediately fell In love with the feeling of freedom ridding gives you. Along the years I made a lot of biker friends some I consider family. Yet back then they were mostly Men and as much as I appreciate my brothers I felt so happy when I started to meet more female riders every year. I see us growing more and more so in 2015 I started @socalbikerchicks doing female rider events so that we could meet more amazing women riders.

Which brings me to now, where I have met so many bad ass female riders. I feel so lucky to have met you Bunnie because you represent female empowerment. All the hard work and effort that you’re putting into building @irongoddessmotorcycleshow is simply amazing. I am truly honored to be a part of such a movement for the female rider community. I thank you with all my heart for bringing us all together like this I can’t wait to meet more Iron Goddesses. See you all at the show

I am a survivor of severe trauma and still struggle with depression past suicidal tendencies and PTSD!
My riding style can be explained by a family members simple quote of “ALWAYS PROGRESS”

When riding it gives me total freedom from such struggles because I’m only worried about the ride. From point A to point B. Making sure to enjoy the vibes and pay attention to the moment because it’s usually FAST. It’s a rush like no other and is empowering to me as I continue to learn and advance. I have had a few accidents that just empower and teach me more. I’m still not stoping!!!
Counselors and friends at Partners Against Violence taught me a quote I now live by… “BE THE PERSON YOU NEEDED WHEN YOUNGER”.!!!!!!

I ride for therapy & connection between God myself and my motorcycles. I have been told I can give off energy and vibes of pure love. That is because my love for motorcycles is in my soul. The advancement of skills is the empowerment with motorcycles. Just riding one is power in itself but to become surgical with it is another level of confidence and skill. So me who is not a quiet person will talk smack and play in friendly competition in hopes they gain strength and power to advance past me one day. Don’t misunderstand there is plenty that are faster / better than me but I won’t sit and compare myself to anyone as I am my biggest enemy.  I just strive to do better then last time and encourage all to advance their skills of riding and being a decent role model.
The motorcycle community shares in uplifting others as a whole and I support the positive vibes.

I first learned on a street bike an 04 Honda cbr F4i 600. Then bought my first bike in 2015 which was a 2014 Honda cbr600RR all black. Her name was Black Widow that I crashed twice in 2018 and then sold to purchase the 07 I currently own.

I now have 3.
An 07 Honda CBR600RR   “Old Diva”
A 2020 Road Glide Special  “Patience”
And now a 2023 Yamaha R1  “Frosty”

Support those that support you. Be the person you needed when younger and Always progress.

Thank you Iron Goddess for supporting me. Thanks AteamGear for making my crown. Thank you to my mechanics at Nando’s Garage who keep my girls running strong. A special thanks to Partners Against Violence and all of their staff that support donate and help the community.
Stay safe and blessed always.

Hello beautiful people!! I have been riding for about 2 years now. After going through a difficult separation with my spouse of 12 years, I was at a point in my life where I needed to discover me again and fall in love with myself probably for the first time ever. So I jumped on the back of a bike and after that I was hooked. I wanted to ride my own and have the freedom of going on the open road as I pleased. Not only was there a sense of excitement but calming and freedom as well. When I’m riding I’m my own person not mom or anything else. The determination to learn not only help build confidence in riding but within myself. There were days I had to talk to myself and say “ you got this! You are a bad ass woman! ” come to find out telling myself that helped me not only get on the bike and ride but also in my difficult lonely nights that were to come.
With all that being said, I have met so many amazing woman. All with stories  of inner strength that we had to dig deep and pull out. The sisterhood I am now in is a blessing. I’m so proud to be considered a part of the Iron Goddess family and helping empower other woman.
Remember ladies, there is only one down and the rest is up!!!

          2021 HERITAGE  SOFTTAIL

Since I was a teen I knew I wanted a Harley not just for my self, but I wanted part of the lifestyle. I was influenced by chopper magazines, pin ups, and rock bands, before social media and cell phones were invented. The day came when My husband purchase his first Harley Davidson it was the hottest, funniest thing ever.  I never wanted to get off, I would make him take the long way home. After 5 Months of being a passenger, I got the urge to ride my own. The adrenaline rush, splitting lanes, hearing the brapbrap, wind blowing in my face, music bumping, my heart said why not. Most importantly I fell in love with community as years went by.
